Bellevue TV

It's Your City - April Edition -- This special edition focuses on Bellevue's environmental stewardship efforts.

Bellevue Television recently received seven awards at the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) conference held in October 2007. NATOA awards recognize excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia and electronic programming developed by municipal agencies.

BTV brought home two first-place awards. In the magazine format category, the It's Your City program won for the second year in a row, and, in the public education category, Moving Bellevue Forward was recognized.

Bellevue Television, Channel 21, is Bellevue's government access cable channel. The channel addresses a city communication need by airing City Council meetings, arts, cultural, educational and other information for the residents, businesses and visitors of Bellevue.  BTV also features coverage of the state Legislature, local community events and special programming on issues of importance to Bellevue residents.

The channel is operated through a partnership between the city and Bellevue Community College. Both organizations share in the costs of operating a state-of-the-art studio facility. The city has access to student crews for additional staffing support. BCC is able to provide their Advanced Track students with hands-on training and "real world" experience.
