Hidden Valley Sports Park
Address: 1905-112th Avenue NE
Osprey return to Hidden Valley Sports Park - The pair of osprey who called a light pole at Hidden Valley Sports Park home for the past six years have returned to the park this spring and have been seen nesting on the new platform built especially for them when the city replaced 40-year-old lights at the park. The new location is better for the birds, offering an escape from hot lights that could have literally fried an egg. It was also a move to protect fans from inadvertent showers of debris falling from the nest previously located right above the bleachers. The nest was moved with guidance of the US Department of Fish and Wildlife. The project was completed in January to ensure it was ready when the osprey returned to the park.
