Pet Licenses

Pet licenses (renewals and new licenses) can be obtained through the Service First desk at City Hall or directly from King County online.

License Renewal:Keeshond

  • Fill out a short application.
  • Renew licenses annually.
  • Renewals are free for senior citizens. 
  • Bring the previous license number.   

New License:

  • Fill out a short application.
  • If animal has been altered (spayed or neutered), bring proof.
  • If owner is a senior citizen, bring proof.
  • Pay the licensing fee.

Licensing Fees:

  • Juvenile Animals -- $5
    Under 6 months; 6-month expiration
  • Altered Animals -- $20 
    Proof of spay or neuter required
  • Unaltered Animals -- $60
    Included in the fee is a savings voucher for spay or neuter 
  • Senior Citizen Discount -- $20 dog / $12 cat
    For owners 65 and older, fees are reduced. Proof of pet's spay or neuter required; proof of owner age required.
