FREEWAY TRAFFIC INFORMATION: The state Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has several projects under way that can affect traffic in Bellevue at any given time. UPDATED - 2012 Overlay Program: Crews will be preparing roadways for grind and overlay operations at various locations within the city. Standard work hours are weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the week of May 14, drivers may experience traffic impacts at:
- 148th, Main St. to NE 8th St.
- 156th Ave NE, Bel-Red Rd. to NE 28th St.
- NE 35th St. west of 148th Ave NE
- SE 17th & SE 14th Sts. at 108th Ave SE
- 107th Ave SE, SE 10th St. to SE 11th St.
- NE 1st St, 92nd Ave NE to 94th Ave NE
- 106th Ave NE, NE 20th Pl. to NE 21st Pl.
- NE 25th St. at 98th Ave NE
- NE 31st St. at 102nd Ave NE
- 108th Ave NE at NE 26th St.
Lane Closures and Delays: 164th Avenue, NE 8th Street to SE 14th Street: Utility crews are replacing aging water pipes along 164th Avenue and have traffic control in place and lane closures. The road is open to through traffic but delays are expected. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes on 156th or 148th Avenues the duration of the project which is espected to last through June or July. See the news release for more information.
Lane Closures: SE 3rd Street, 102nd Avenue SE to Bellevue Way: Expect lane closures and periodic delays. Work hours during weekdays is from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Road Closure: SE 6th Street, 102nd Avenue SE to approx. 250' to the west: This section of SE 6th Street is closed 24/7 for equipment and material staging for the Bellevue Pump Station Upgrade by King County. The closure is until further notice.
Lane Closures: SE 22nd Street, 145th Place SE to 156th Avenue SE: Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures and possible delays weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and possibly Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
UPDATED - Lane Closures: 102nd Avenue SE, SE 3rd to SE 6th Street: Expect lane closures and periodic delays. Work hours during weekdays is from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
UPDATED - Lane Closures: 102nd Avenue NE, NE 8th Street to NE 10th Street: Drivers and pedestrians should expect intermittent closures of the curb lanes on 102nd Ave NE near the QFC, as well as at the intersection of NE 10th, on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as crews work on a new mid-block crosswalk.
Lane Closures: 130th Avenue SE, SE 45th Lane to SE 46th Street: Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures and possible delays weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
UPDATED - Lane Closures: 145th Place SE, SE 16th Street to SE 24th Street: Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and possibly Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. as crews finish the project.
Commercial development and private utility work: Drivers and pedestrians should anticipate periodic lane and/or sidewalk closures and delays at these locations:
o Main Street & 148th Avenue SE (Kelsey Creek Mall): Building construction. Expect possible daytime lane closures.
