Hundreds of volunteers plant shrubs and weed at parks each year at Bellevue's Earth Day-Arbor Day event.

Volunteering

It's easy to volunteer. Volunteer positions with the city are presented below by category or in Bellevue's Community Volunteering Guide. These opportunities, with the city and local organizations, require varying time commitments, skills and work focus. If you have ideas for new volunteer programs, please call or e-mail us (contact information in the right column of this page). You can also sign up for volunteering updates so you never miss anything new.

Local businesses invited to volunteer
Volunteering offers a great opportunity for your organization or business to give back to the community, plus it can be a great team building exercise. If you would like to explore the possibilities, please contact the city's Volunteer Program Coordinator at 425-452-5375.

Partners needed
Bellevue promotes communitywide volunteerism through organizations that provide benefit to Bellevue and its citizens. The city partners and works closely with these organizations on projects and ongoing programs. If your organization has an interest in partnering with Bellevue, please e-mail Volunteer Program Coordinator Shelly Shellabarger or call her at 425-452-5375.

Volunteers can access the City's Volunteer Orientation presentation here.
